About the Ohio County
Bar Association
The Ohio County Bar Association is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization made up of attorneys who primarily practice or maintain offices in Ohio County, West Virginia, and the surrounding region. Based in the heart of the Upper Ohio Valley legal community, the Association helps members build professional relationships, access useful information, and remain engaged with the local legal profession.
Through educational programs, events, member resources, and community initiatives, the Association provides a shared point of connection for attorneys at every stage of their careers.
Our History
For generations, the Ohio County Bar Association has brought together attorneys serving Wheeling, Ohio County, and nearby communities. The Association was created to strengthen relationships within the legal profession and provide local attorneys with opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute.
Over time, its role has grown to include continuing legal education, professional networking, charitable support, scholarships, memorial services, social gatherings, and access to information relevant to attorneys working throughout the region.
While the legal profession continues to change, the Association remains committed to its longstanding purpose of supporting members and strengthening the local legal community.

Association Leadership
The Ohio County Bar Association is guided by an Executive Board made up of local legal professionals who volunteer their time and experience to support the organization.
Board members help oversee Association operations, coordinate events, communicate with members, manage dues and resources, and identify new opportunities to serve the legal community. Leadership positions may include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, social chair, and other Executive Committee roles.
Each member of the board plays an important part in keeping the Association active, responsive, and connected to the needs of its membership.

Community Involvement
The Ohio County Bar Association believes that the legal profession has an important role to play in the community.
